I completed this project last year. It is my latest “chill paint” – but my website is dying for content, so I want to post all of my projects on here individually, because why not? I have time now!
Created in Procreate on my iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil. Very much staying in the “correct” art environments for digital art. I am privileged to have access to such great tools. It definitely makes creating art easy. My ADHD however, makes free-time projects like this a bit more rushed. I am very fast when it comes to drawing, but my biggest problem is I have to get it done in one sitting, or else it runs the risk of never being completed.
So this piece is of three orcas in a galaxy/nebula, which is inside of a marble or eye. I’m not sure if most people notice the pupil behind them, but they are meant to be viewed emerging from the pupil.
I first painted a water color version of it on watercolor paper. Super rough, but I wanted to get the idea down. In this version, there are 4 orcas. You can see it for a split second at the beginning of the video.

Obviously, the digital version turned out much nicer than this, haha!
Overall this project took me less than a day; art and video editing included. It’s a super easy process since Procreate automatically records each session.
